Falling For The Boss
Elizabeth Lennox Books www. Amazon Media EU S. Deel je atttracelli met andere klanten. Nuttigste klantenrecensies op Amazon. The whole feel of the book is like it was placed in a period around 50 to attrwcelli years ago.
While the premise of an “overprotective family” is understandable – the actions of the overprotective family is wierd for even twenty years ago.
And all that about bank accounts, etc being frozen More importantly the author did not seem to find it necessary to show that this is dealt with and the brothers shown the seriess of their ways. This really put me off. The heroine was a total wuss.
Did not like her at all. Much of her angst seemed like hot air or more like the author wanted to make her look like a modern day educated and independant person – but she failed miserably.
Series: The Attracelli Family
ONly succeeded in making the heroine look like a wannabe in seriez sense. Lennox’s books are of course extremely light reading, and mostly I am not so bothered – as Ms. Lennox’s heroines are almost always the ultra-feminine in the sfries old old fashioned sense of feminine with the heroes being the “machoest” [ I know that’s not a word – but cannot find a proper descriptive: I like just about all of the books seies I have read from this author, thus far however I don’t appreciate the way that Antonia’s brothers kept trying to manipulate her life to suit them.
I understand close families, culture and tradition but her brothers in this book took it a step too far. A younger sister with five brothers. She was never allowed to be herself.
Falling For The Boss (Attracelli Family, book 2) by Elizabeth Lennox
She was not given the same opportunities as her brothers. She steps out of the box they have her in and for four years, she has been working and investing behind their aeries. When she meets someone she likes, she is afraid he is just like her brothers. This is funny and sweet in parts.
Finally her soon to be husband straightens out some misunderstandings, and she lets him in on a not very well kept secret. Serjes new series from Elizabeth Lennox. It feels like it is set in the 50’s or 60’s when it was OK for women to be coddled and treated as delicate possessions.
Such a woman is Antonia, and like these genteel women of the 50’s, Antonia gives lip service to her desire for independence and equality. Brett is a tycoon who becomes enchanted. A nice entertaining romance. I really enjoyed this book. The heroine loves her brothers and they try to wrap her in bubble wrap.
So she pretends to do what they say, while living her life as she wants. Then she meets a strong man through her brothers and falls in love hard. She is afraid he’ll treat her like the men in her family do, so she tries to run, but it doesn’t work. Great dialog, romance, sexy scenes and fun.
